Sorry this is designed for doctors ideally above the grade of F2 who have a keen interest in boxing and who are looking to help with boxing events

We have run the course before and found there is too much content for one day. Rather than running the course over 2 days with the cost of accomodation to be factored in, the hybrid design will aim to allow participants to go through course material at their own pace in the week before and then focus on the practicals during the day

No this course is not compulsory to become a ringside doctor. It is advisable to undergo some form of shadowing before starting work as a ringside doctor. This course aims to fast forward about 40 bouts of ringside experience so that interested doctors can be higher up the learning curve when they start. In the future it may help to show due diligence that you have done everything you can to be as prepared for the role as possible before you start to work solo. It is likely for new doctors wishing to become ringisde doctors, a course of this type wil be a requirement. 

The London region is looking for more doctors to help with the ringside Amateur boxing doctor role. This involves visiting clubs to do medicals or running clinics organised by London boxing. 

Each boxing show needs a doctor ringside to allow it to continue. More doctors means more simultaneous shows can take place on a given night

The course is primarily designed for medical doctors. If you are a medical student please message us and if there are spare places we may be able to offer these to you at a discount as an observer

We estimate that this course with the online learning will attract the equivalent of 10 CPD points to contribute to your portfolio

Yes we will provide a digital certificate to you if you successfully complete both sections of the course.

If you would like an institution or organisation to pay on your behalf we can provide invoices and receipts to them or you as an individual. 

Yes ringside doctors are paid in acknowledgment of their time. More details are provided on the course.
